Cricket Match Up Raises Awareness of Male Violence Against Women

A thrilling day of charity cricket action saw the Lords and Commons XI vs White Ribbon/NACC XI, take to the field, to raise awareness and speak out on male violence against women.

Competing for the Regal White Ribbon Trophy at the Fischer County Ground, the teams were captained by Lord Kamlesh Patel, Board Director of the English Cricket Board, and Wasim Khan, Chief Executive of Leicestershire CCC, soon to join the Pakistan Cricket Board as Managing Director.

Among the stars taking part are Leicestershire CCC Chief Executive Wasim Khan MBE, Head Coach Paul Nixon and former Kent CCC and England star Minal Patel.

The fixture is part of a series of games being organised by former England and Leeds Rugby International Ikram Butt on behalf of the National Asian Cricket Council, using cricket as a platform to raise awareness of a range of causes.
